Hang out with Lisa Surihani and The Body Shop6

Lisa Surihani is the new spoke person for The Body Shop Moisture white Shiso Range. So, in evidently, The Body Shop Malaysia had organised a meet and greet session with Lisa in KLCC and Johor. I’m pretty stoked to have won a VIP pass. So, I went to the KLCC event last Saturday. The Body Shop outlet is packed. The formula was developed in Japan and proven to reduce the visibility of dark spots and freckles. The skincare range provides whitening and hydrating action for up to 12 hours. With regular use will leaves skin feeling soft and supple and the complexion looking clearer and brighter. It is suitable is Normal-to-Dry skin with four natural main ingredients:

  • Japanese Shiso Extract – A popular herb commonly used in Japanese cuisine, Shiso is rich in vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acid. This humble herb is proven to fight pigmentation by suppressing early melanin activation, thereby preventing and minimising formation of dark spots and uneven skin tone.
  • Vitamin C – A natural anti-oxidant that controls excessive melanin production in the deepest skin layers to help even out skin tone and restore skin’s natural radiance.
  • Liquorice extract– fights excessive melanin to help you achieve a translucent and even-toned complexion that also feels soft and supple.
  • Organic Aloe – renowned for its incredible soothing, hydrating and moisturising properties.

The Body Shop Moisture White Shisho range The Body Shop Moisture White Shisho range3 The Body Shop Moisture White Shisho range4 There is a full range of skincare products available in the Moisture White™ Shiso range: Make-Up Claensing Oil, Foaming Facial Wash, Moisturising Essence, 2-in-1 Brightening Eye Cream, Whitening serum, Whitening moisture milk and night treatment and makeup (BB cream and Powder foundation). My review on Moisture White™ Shiso UV Protector Cream With the 20% discount voucher, I bought the Moisture White™ Shiso UV Protector Cream. It is described as a moisturising cream protects skin against harmful UV rays that contains the unique Japanese shiso formula. It provides UV protection from both UVA and UVB with SPF 30. It claims to improve the appearance of skin brightness in four weeks. It is in moderate sized squeeze out tube which contains 50ml of product. It is small enough for travel or to bring along in the handbag for reapplication. My first impression that the this is not a cream, but instead a light UV lotion that absorbs well. It is a white coloured lotion but it doesn’t gives me a white out layer over the skin. It works well with foundation and make up. I only use a dollop amount and this is enough to cover the whole face. After nearly a week of using this, I think this is a great UV cream with its light consistency, similar to other Japanese brand UV cream. It does not clog my pores like other UV creams tends to do. It turned up great in picture. No horrible white cast under flash photography at all. It felt moisturising on the face. However I do not see any whitening/brightening effect yet.  I might have to continue using it for the whole month (as it claims 4 weeks) to see the true brightening potential of Moisture White™ Shiso UV Protector Cream. Conclusion:

  • Light UV lotion that absorbs well into the skin
  • No white cast in flash photograph
  • Small , convenient packaging, great to bring to travel with
  • Can’t appreciate brightening effect, YET.
