This is another haul post. I’m supposed to upload this earlier but there was the CHEAP Sasa Warehouse Sale (read post here!) I just had to share that one first with you guys.
Anyway, besides Watsons and Sasa, my other favourite store would be Sephora. They were launching an updated version of their loyalty card, and I did re-register to upgrade my Sephora White Card to the Sephora Black Card. However, you had to do it in stores. Upon re-registering, I received a free gift of Sephora sunnies (so cool). There were a promotion of purchases above RM300 and you’ll received a makeup train case too. But for that week I didn’t buy anything.
Instead, I went to Sephora Avenue K launch and did win a goodie bag! Yay~ Let me tell the story of how it happened. I’m remembered that that was the last giveaway for the day. Nadia Heng was the MC and she’s so tall and gorgeous. I was standing near her the whole time and when she ask the question for the giveaway, I rose my hand as high as I can and waved frantically. When I was picked, I was so happy, excited and nervous. Luckily the lil question was so easy–> “Name your two favourite brands in Sephora?” My answer …? hehe.. Comment below if your can guess what are the two favourite brands of mine in Sephora. (I’ll reveal the answer if someone asked me too..hehe)
Anyway, I won the goodie bag from Sephora and I was jumping excitedly. I went to Sephora Sunway Piramid and Nu Sentral launch but I didn’t manage to win any goodie bag at all. I guess this third time was my lucky strike. Here’s the goodies that i won that day.
Anyway, I forgot to tell you that I went to Sephora KLCC to re-register my Sephora card. There was a Instagram contest when you have to take a picture wearing Sephora’s 3D glasses and hashtag #mysephorablackrocks. I felt like I was winning the first prize from Lotto cause I won the RM300 worth of beauty box. Again, I was jumping excitedly at Sephora because I have just won a full sized Youthmud mask and a travel size Supermud mask from GlamGlow. 😀 😀 😀 (Beside GlamGlow, the beauty boxes contained full set of Make Up For Ever products or Issey Miyake perfume set)
So you can see my Sephora Black Card is totally Rocks! #mysephorablackrocks.
Here is my Sephora Black Card. I felt special now they have personalised the card with our name.
Back to the main programme, I wanted to share my haul from the Sephora Black Card sale. It was 20% off everything in store.
I did have a few wishlist everytime I went into Sephora, so this sale is just what I needed. Here we go with my haul:
1) Tarte 12Hour Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty
I had review a mini size on this range in Exposed. That little one is really good and make me want to get the other shades from the same range. (Read full review HERE) I wanted to get a reddish blush colour that I thought will look awesome in my medium-tanned skintone. This Natural Beauty is the beautiful reddish blush with no shimmer that complements my skin tone perfectly giving it “natural beauty” look. When you look at it in the pan, it look so angry and pigmented, I’m afraid to use it. Luckily the BA in Sephora helped me test it using a blush brush, I felt in love immediately. You need to use a light hand though. I love applying the blush with my Real Techniques Blush brush. It pick up just enough and make my cheeks look beautifully flushed. This blush lasted all day and it is amazing.
2) Tarte Amazonian clay Full Coverage Foundation in Medium-Honey
I have two Tarte Amazonian clay base makeup products already in my collection- the full coverage concealer and the full coverage powder foundation. The powder foundation doesn’t really give me full coverage base. After long thoughtful thinking and many times swatching the liquid foundation every time I want into Sephora, I decided to by this. I did regret not getting it sooner. It is light weighted, full coverage, non-oily and long lasting foundation that is great for oily skin like me. It has many shades that can match different skin tone. It blends beautifully and lightly. It comfortable on the skin and non-cakey at all. I love it!
3) Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin
I love UD’s eyeshadow primer potion in Original. I think it is better that Too Faced Shadow Insurance. UD’s prevent creasing on my super oily eyelid. I use it everyday even if I don’t apply eyeshadow. However the UD’s original is matte and since I’ve been loving shimmery eyeshadow nowadays, I wanted an eye primer as a base for that. Of course I’d chose UD eyeshadow primer in Sin. I had a sample pack of all 4 types and I’m impressed with Sin because you can choose to wear it alone. It gives a pretty champagne shimmery shines to the eyelid. I love pairing it with a matte black eye liner, the combo is easy and prefect for everyday. It is fast too. I usually apply this using my finger and blends well. 100% crease-proof. <3 <3 <3
4) Eyeko Visual Eyes Liquid Eyeliner in Mocha
I love using liquid eyeliner and have always wanted to try Eyeko since it arrived to our shore. Although it is a British brand, it is formulated in Japan. The brush is precise and the formula is not too watery. It is easy to apply and it last whole day. I chose Mocha to have a softer shade eyeliner than my usual black. It only costed my <RM50 with the 20% discount. It is comparable to my Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner.
5) Benefit Cosmetics Dr. Feel Good
My skin is extra oily these past 2 months. I’ve use up my mini Porefessional for lunch-break-touch-up to matify my T-zone. I bought this mini size Dr. Feel Good for that specific purpose. It is small and dainty and comes with a sponge, which is great as it is more hygienic.
That is all my haul from my Sephora Black Card sale. Wow, this turned up to be a long post.
Do share your Sephora Black Card Haul if you did a lil shopping (just like me) and do comment below your guesses of my two favourite brands in Sephora as mentioned above.
Thanks for reaading.
