It has been a while I last did my Maskin’ Monday series right. Here we are with another mask review. I think wearing facial mask regularly does help improve the skin as our skin often exposed to harsh environment and need TLC every once in a while.
While traveling in Saigon, Vietnam, there were busy traffic with numerous motorbikes around. As I wash my face at the end of day back in the hotel, I noticed the water turned dirty and murky. Yikes! my skin type is oily and acne-prone, so dusty environment is a big no-no.
Worried that my pores clogged up with dirt and dust, I decided to apply clay mask before I sleep. Clay mask is perfect to cleanse and purify your skin. I would recommend Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask by Skin & Lab. This mask from Korea work well to purify your pores and reduce excess sebum secretion whilst giving a moisturising facial spa to your skin.
1) Canadian Glacial Clay – removing accumulated impurities deep in pores
2) Oatmeal – eliminating surface debris and moisturizing
3) Tea Tree Leaf – acne prevention, acne resolving and calming
All the key ingredients act together to absorb excess sebum, prevents the appearance of black heads while leaving cooling effect after without clogging the pores. This Glacial Clay Facial Mask purifies the skin in and out, by minimising enlarged pores and firms the sagging pores, hence resulting clearer & firmer skin.
The packaging is sleek and basic. Each tub contains 100ml of product. I love that they give us a spatula to prevent contaminating the tub of mask. Bonus point for maintaining the hygiene! The way I use it is to scoop a coin- sized mask with the spatula, and using my (free) finger tip, I would smear a thin layer of the mask all over my skin especially under the chin area.
1) Use spatula to scoop a spoonful size to maintain hygiene.
2) Apply mask to the skin avoiding eye area.
3) Chill out for 10 to 15 minutes
4) Rinse it off gently with warm water.
The clay dries up in 10 minutes and it does not feel drying at all. I can feel a tingling sensation on wearing the mask but fret not, it is just the pore-tightening effect of the mask. I love how it felt as you can actually feel (in real time) the beneficiary effect of the mask.
2~3 times a week for oily skin
1~2 times a week for dry to normal skin
Sometimes you can apply the Glacial Clay mask only where you need it the most like T-zone area or area of skin with large pores that easily breaking out (for me its my chin). This is great for a quick skin-loving little perk-me-up.
Skin & Lab Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask is the mask sent from heaven for acne-prone skin like me!
