Hello lovelies,

I have mentioned before that since I was pregnant, I noticed that my skin had been a little more dry and it felt weird as I have always had super oily skin.

This combination of drying patches on the skin did not really help as my skin would produce more sebum to hydrate the skin and I would wake up with a super oily skin and the tight feeling of dry skin during the day.

However, I have a few tips that I personally experience that has helped my skin feeling healthy and well hydrated from inside out.

1. Drinks lots of H20

I would make it a point to drink lots of fluid especially plain water during the day up to 2 litres per day. This keeps parched dry skin at bay and gives me a good energy too as my skin is well hydrated. If you feel that plain water is too boring, add a few slices of lemon or your favourite fruits (or vege) like cucumber or berries to make infused water that you can enjoy sipping all day long.

2. Make moisturiser your absolute step in daily skincare routine

It is a common misconception that girls with oily skin do not need moisturiser in their skincare regime as your face is always oily and ‘hydrated’. Unfortunately having super oily skin just means that your skin is not well hydrated enough. That is the way the sebaceous gland over-produce sebum to keep the skin hydrated. And with that, you have a super gross, super oily skin.

3. Use a different moisturising cream for the eye area

This is because the skin surrounding the eye area is more delicate and sensitive and thicker cream would be absorbed well.

4. Intense moisturising regime at least twice a week

I have been pampering my skin a bit more and I have been trying out Doclab Face ampoules and really like how this product has helped moisturise my skin and keeping it healthy. Let’s just say the thirst is real..for my skin, my friends.

DocLab Face Ampoules

DocLab Face Ampoule contains a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid that can give deep hydration and help boost skin moisture. Hyaluronic Acid keeps collagen synthesis up, as well as retaining skin moisture, contributing to the anti-aging benefits to the skin.

DocLab is formulated in South Korea, and all of us know that majority of Korean women are obsessed with having well hydrated dewy skin and with natural glow. Hence, DocLab is surely the go-to product for its intense hydrating properties.

This little ampoule can help improve your skin condition by replenishing moisture to your skin, restore skin suppleness and elasticity and making your skin smooth to touch. This ampoule will also increase the effectiveness of all your other beauty products.

DocLab Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule penetrates to the dermis, thus boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin. The protective barrier on the skin locks in moisture, which gives the skin a youthful appearance.

The high concentrated Hyaluronic Acid is packaged into airtight glass ampoules that do not contain any preservatives or chemicals due to the airtight packaging. I am glad that DocLab has come out with a better new packaging recently.

It used to be in a glass ampoules that you need to snap the cap off and carefully retrieve the product with the risk of having small little broken glass hurt your finger (or *gasp* skin).

Now every DocLab ampoules has a new premium packaging. It is still in a glass form to retain the original state of the high concentrated Hyaluronic Acid. But now every premium glass ampoules has a cap that you can just twist or pull to open. I personally like to pull the cap in a 45 deg angle. No more sharp broken edges. making it super easy to pour out the precious liquid out into the palm of my hand and apply to the face.

It is very watery so you need to be careful not to waste even one single drop. Once I have poured the product into my palm, I would then pat into my skin and keep patting softly using the tips of my fingers all over the skin and this would encourage fast absorption of the HA into the skin.

Sometimes, there is still some left in the ampoules, I would do a quick 10-15 minutes intense hydration mask. To do this, just get 4 thin cotton pads, pour the HA into the cotton pads, and place cotton pads into the skin area that your want to target for extra moisturisation. I  usually place the HA soaked cotton pads on my cheeks, forehead and chin.

Your skin will have a boost of moisture and this in turn make any makeup that you apply on top last longer.

That is how I keep my skin healthy and hydrated through my pregnancy and I am so happy that my skin is at the best state now. My hubby keeps mentioning that I have ‘pregnancy glow’ but we know that hydration is the key!

The DocLab Face ampoules come in a box. Each box contains 5 bottles of ampoules that can last you 5 applications. The box retails for RM138 each with free shipping.
