Happy 3rd Anniversarry The Butterfly Project Malaysia!
What a great day to start my last month of maternity leave – May 2016. I was invited to The Butterfly Project Malaysia’s (BPM) third anniversary party at the Glasshouse, Seputeh and it was so much fun. Let me tell you, there’s nothing like a girly, pastel-themed party with cookies and beauty/makeup shopping spree. It was definitely a first for me.
So, this (guilty) mommy took a few hours off-duty time playing lil baker and had so much fun partying with other Butterflies.
On arrival, we were given a warm welcome by Althea CEO & gang and were given a mini cutesy pink apron. Now all of Butterflies look like a kawaii bakers.
Cookie decorating at Delectable Su, Glasshouse, Seputeh
The party was held at the cutest yet classy cake shop ever: Delectable Su, in Glasshouse Seputeh. The deco is so girly with balloons and flowers. The interior design of the Glasshouse is breathtaking, perfect for #selfie and photo-worthy moments. If you need a place for a party – do think of Glasshouse. I really like the decor of the place.
Delectable Su bakes amazingly delicious cakes and cookies. She’s definitely known for her intricate cakes/cookie decoration. At the party, we each had a go at decorating our own cookie at the playground dessert table. The cookie itself is really soft and crumbly delicious. I almost did not eat them as they were too cute.
BB Cushion Decorating Masterclass
Thanks to Althea, we were each given a decorate-your-own-BB-cushion kit. With guidance from our master baker – Sabby Prue, we learned to decorate our own BB cushion. Much like decorating a cake, a lil piping bag with chocolate/cream clay with assortment of lil cakes/donut/pastry deco could be placed on to the BB Cushion.
Everyone had so much fun. There was a competition as well where the best 20 decorated BB cushion won egg packs from Althea. Congratulations to those who won.
Korean beauty shopping spree with Althea Korea
After ‘baking’, we had a shopping spree with Althea, which was the main sponsor for the party. Thank you Althea. Althea is THE online shop that you want to visit for authentic korean beauty products and supplies. Althea brings popular Korean brands like Laneige, Etude House, Missha even closer to our shore with free shipping. You can find other Korean beauty brands that are not available in Malaysia like IOPE or Witch’s Pouch (to name a few).
The best thing about Althea, it offers discounts for all products almost all the time, so even if you can find the brand in Malaysia, in Althea it is a lot cheaper.
We had only 30 minutes to shop at Althea. I really like the interface of website, really easy to navigate and search for Korean beauty products. The drop-down feature is really convenient.
Just sign up using your email or Facebook or Google ID (which makes it even more convenient) and you are on your way to grab the best deal on Korean skin care and makeup products.

My package arrived all the way from Korea after 5 days. Here is my haul. I’m so happy!
Thank you The Butterfly Project Malaysia for having me at your wonderful pastel party. I am so happy to be part of the beauty blogger community. The little opportunities, let it be attending events, receiving products for review making my blogging journey enjoyable. But what I love even more by being part of BPM is making lots of friendly blogger friends who love beauty and makeup just like me.
I have filmed a VLOG for the party as well. Skip to minutes 5.20 to the Althea Korea haul.
