Our next Blog Detox topic is My Fave Sheet Mask. This is a collab challenge with Butterfly Project Malaysia to bring back the best about blogging. I talked about my fave cleanser last month. This is my fave topic as I do have a few sheet masks favourite. It is kinda my weekly routine. However my current fave sheet mask are the Bye Bye Eye Mask series by Guardian.
Happy New Year! Hello 2016!
I was planning to do an earlier first 2016 blog post but my work caught up with me, I was doing my back to back last oncall before taking one whole month of not doing oncall before my delivery. Then there were some meeting minutes to do etc. But I’m so excited to start my 2016 beauty stories with my Maskin’ Monday series.
I am reviewing Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask which is from one of my favourite Korean brand exclusively available from Natta Cosme. If has been quite some time since my last Maskin’ Monday post, I hope you enjoy reading my review down below.
It has been a while I last did my Maskin’ Monday series right. Here we are with another mask review. I think wearing facial mask regularly does help improve the skin as our skin often exposed to harsh environment and need TLC every once in a while.
While traveling in Saigon, Vietnam, there were busy traffic with numerous motorbikes around. As I wash my face at the end of day back in the hotel, I noticed the water turned dirty and murky. Yikes! my skin type is oily and acne-prone, so dusty environment is a big no-no.
Worried that my pores clogged up with dirt and dust, I decided to apply clay mask before I sleep. Clay mask is perfect to cleanse and purify your skin. I would recommend Dr. Pore Tightening Glacial Clay Facial Mask by Skin & Lab. This mask from Korea work well to purify your pores and reduce excess sebum secretion whilst giving a moisturising facial spa to your skin.
I am so in love with my new Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette that I get obsessed with chocolate this week. (My husband has sneaked lil presents to me last week: a huge block of Cadbury bar and Hershey’s kisses—>doesn’t help either)
Read about my review on Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette here!
I mentioned in my previous post that chocolate has been used for centuries in beauty rituals. Inspired by the Aztec ladies that improvised the Mayan recipe in 1325, I give you an easy breezy D.I.Y Cocoa-licious Mocha face mask. (more…)
I have been reviewing sheet masks (I absolutely love them) for a while, so I think I want to change it up a little bit. I have super oily skin. A skin care HG for oily skin, I think every girls would agree is Clay Mask. It sucks all the sebum and oil including the dirt and nourish the skin.
I only recently found this clay mask from Garnier this year. Due to the ever-changing hot environment my skin has suffers greatly. My face is easily become oily and I have breakout easily. Garnier Pure range has included this multifunctional product that include facial wash, facial scrub and clay mask all in one. It contains salicylic acid and mineral complex to help especially blemish-prone skin (like mine).
It is still long weekend for me. Happy Chinese New Year and Selamat Hari Wilayah. I am so happy that I have achieved so much in this four days. I went hiking, did some some training, spend a lil family time (both side), did some laundry, attended schoolmate’s wedding, went shoppong and did a few locums.
A sneaky reward for myself would be pampering myself with mask. I’m noticing my eyes are puffy (probably from eating too much salty food) and lack of proper rest since I’ve been running around whole long weekend. There are a few great ways to help with that: Apply ice cubes, apply cucumber, keep up with fluid intake etc. The easy way is to apply eye masks.
Simply Bye Eye Bag Hydro Gel Eye Masks
I found this mask in Watsons and what really attracted me is the bright coloured with cute Panda packaging. The mouth-full name is intriguing as well.
It is from Taiwan. There is 2 pairs of eye masks in each pack. There are two types of eye masks from Simply. I bought the green one.
