Monthly Favourites: July 2014

Salam Aidilfitri~

If you’ve read (or watched the video) of my previous Raya 2014 Tag post, you’d already know that I’m spending my Raya this year in Langkawi. I just came back from Langkawi. It was a fun holiday with my fam indeed. Nonetheless, I still want to share my beauty favourites of the month. I did skip June as it was a pretty busy month for me. But, you’ll notice there are whole new stuff that I have been loving especially the products that I got during my birthday haul.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

Okay, I know that this might be a boring entry for some of you guys, but I freaking love this mascara and I need to at least do a full review on it in my blog to convince those girls that haven’t had this freaking AWESOME mascara in their collection.

I have always impressed with Maybelline mascara over the years since I started to wear makeup. The Rocket Volum’ Express mascara is currently the champion of the drugstore mascara.

This mascara promises clump-free voluminous lashes from root to tip in one easy step. In rocket speed, you’ll get explosive volume thanks to the breakthrough clump-killer brush with elastomer bristles. You’ll love your new 8X bigger lashes due to the smoother and even application. No more having to loads your lashes with multiple coats, and then carefully comb through your lashes to get a clean, well-separated lashes.

It also has gel-based formula that ensures that your lashes stay curled for hours. It is smudge-proof, sweat and water resistant.
This mascara is my holy grail, i can not help myself from reaching this mascara regularly. It is after all one of my December 2013 beauty favourites.

I already on my second tube as I’ve been wearing this mascara so much. I found the best way to apply it is sweep the wand from root upward to the tip without doing the zig-zag movement. I usually start from my inner corner lashes and move outwards to the outer corner lashes. The mascara coats the lower lashes beautifully too.
My lashes are fabulous with only one coat. Look at the difference!

I’m wearing The Rocket on my right eyelashes, no mascara on my left eyelashes.

Amp up the lashes for night time look with second coat of mascara. Simply AMAZEBALLS.

Just admire how long, luscious, volumised and curly my eyelashes are:-

Let’a see how long will it last. I wore the mascara for about 10 hours. It looks fabulous, still curled up and volumised!

I would use oil based makeup remover to effectively remove the mascara. Allow a few second for the oil to seeped through, before swiping gently. The formula will come out in a wriggly tubes which easily removed. No more panda eyes!
I haven’t fpund any waterproff version in Malaysia yet.

So, girls, hear me out! Believe in the power of The rocket mascara for clump-free, thick, luscious lashes. It is worth the money spent and you will definitely understand what the fuss is all about.

This post is dedicated to my reader Khalida who had a requested a full review. Thank you so much for your support.

Have you try Maybelline the Rocket mascara? Tell me what you think about it? Yay or Nay? If Nay, any suggestion for a mascara contender. I might have to work harder to convince you’re wrong :p

RED is the colour of LOVE

Love is in the air~~ We are celebrating extra dose of love this year as Chap Go Mei and Valentine’s day fall on the same date. RED would be my go to colour this month as its abundance during CNY. A red lip is a symbol of sensuous , sexy woman which fits for Valentine celebration.
I want to share my favourite red lip colours that are now in my collection.

Maybelline Red Porcelain by Colour Sensational

If I want to go for a retro, seductive red lips, I would definitely grab this first. This is a hyperpigmented neutral Crimsonred that flattering for all skin tone. One swipe is often more than enough. It has a semi matte finish that captured well in photos.
For a precise application, use a lip brush. Blot away any excess with a tissue and this lip color with last all night.
Pair the lips with classic cat-eyes and you’ll capture any man attention.

Monthly favourites: January 2014

Hello lovelies,

February is here and I would like to wish you girls – Happy upcoming Valentine’s day.
After a week long holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I managed to finally recover from the holiday blues this week.
I would like to share some of my recent favourites for the month of January 2014. Hope it’s not too late!

1. Maybelline Lip Polish

I owned two of these already. This fabulous lip colour which hydrates your lip, is super-pigmented and gives it shine in one swipe. I agreed that it is slighty sticky as most of lip gloss out there, but it is a comfortable wear on the lips. I have been wearing Maybelline lip polish so much since I got them in early Jan. My favourite shade would be GLAM5- soft creamy mauve suitable for all skin tone. Another shade that I own is GLAM2 which is a pretty lip colour for daily wear.

Maybelline colour elixir/ lip polish by colour sensational

Hello lovelies!

How is the start of 2014 going for you? In celebration of the incoming multi-public holidays, I’m glad to take my time off work and do a review on the new Maybelline lip polish lip color. In the States, these lip products are marketed as color elixir instead.

I’m so excited for the lip colours when it first came out. By November 2013, I starting to embrace wearing lip glosses, however as they are so sheer, I wore them on top of matching lipstick. Busy at work, I can’t afford another minute added to my makeup routine. I started to wear lip lacquer or lipstick+gloss hybrid. At first I tried Loreal Shine Caresse lip gloss but it’s just too sticky.

The moment Maybelline lip polish was released at Watson, I brought myself two of them. There are so many choices, it is not easy to make up my mind. I’ve been wearing them quite regularly especially over the weekend. I am loving this lipstick+gloss+balm lip color. So, I decided to get any one after I received a coupon from Maybelline through email. (Read on if you want to know where you can get the coupon).

Monthly Favourites: December 2013

It’s the end of 2013. As we approaching 2014, I would like to wish everybody:

 Happy New Year!

I would like to try something new in my blog. A lot of beauty guru, blogger or youtuber has been sharing their favourite beauty products on the month. I have always enjoy reading the posts on monthly favourites as it is interesting to know what products are popular. For a beauty product to be on someone’s favourite list, it must have work, right?! It gives me more options while researching on new products to try on next too.

In this post, I would like to to share the beauty products that I’ve been loving for December.
