Gosh… The time just flew by. Sorry that I have been super busy lately. Before we move on to my August favourites, let me update on what has been happening to my life. The biggest reason for my lack of blog update is I have just moved to my own apartment. YAY!
We are so happy to finally settle in our own crib. We bought the property back in 2012 and have been waiting anxiously. I am now living in Putrajaya nearer to my workplace (YAY for not paying toll).
You guys definitely would understand the hassle of packing things (I have gathered lots of ‘harta’ for the last few years) and actually moving and unpacking. I have actually wanted since end of May. I used to live at my mother’s and in-law’s places (we sorta become nomad) travelling from both places back & forth. But then, Ramadhan arrived and then Raya month in July and we finally decided to move early August.
So obviously my beloved makeup collection and lots of things are in boxes. We didn’t have any internet connection, hence lack of blog posts from Cosmephilia. Today is the day we finally got our unlimited internet connection (YAY!), I finally have the time and resources to sit down and update my blog.
I have been wanting to do monthly favourites for the last 3-4 months. Due to the move, I ended up using the basic products in my travel makeup bag which I carries in my hand bag. So, this monthly (or should I say ‘few-monthly’) beauty favourites are from my daily makeup bag.
Let me show you two lip products that I have been obsessing for the last month or two. They are from Revlon, my favourite drugstore brand which are Revlon’s Ultra HD Lipstick and Lip Lacquer. I have been waiting to do the review of these but now these two new lip products are finally available in Malaysia, I can finally reveal how I feel and my review on Revlon’s new Ultra HD Lipstick and Lip Lacquer.
The Revlon Ultra HD Lip products line was launched in early spring in America and the rest of the world. Understandably they arrived a few months late to our shore in Malaysia. However I bought my first Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Japan when I was visiting Tokyo in April. have talked about it in my Tokyo Haul video. (Click HERE for my Tokyo 2015 Haul). I have been using it nonstop. But I am in love with Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer even more when I bought it at Changi airport, Singapore.
It is time to share my favourites beauty products for January 2015. It has been a good start of the year for me. Read on to see what I have been loving for last month.
1. Revlon Photoready BB Cream in 030 Medium
I have been loving using BB cream almost everyday for January. This little skin perfector is great as it is light and easily blend. i love using a sponge to blend this in. I love that the formula is really hydrating to the skin. I did not notice any flaky area of skin with this BB cream It is not long lasting, but with combination of a great concealer, I think this is a good everyday base makeup. It is also contains SPF 30 which is awesome for the added UV protector.
I would like to share with you guys that there will be a another warehouse sale by Alliance Cosmetics this weekend (YUP!! THIS WEEKEND!). I had a blast shopping for a good bargain in September (Read my Haul post HERE!) and for those who miss that – here is another chance for you!
I went to the Alliance Cosmetics Warehouse Clearance Sale earlier and I thought of sharing my haul with your guys. The sale was up to 70% OFF so it was so worth driving all the way to Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
Among the brands offered are Eu Thermale Avene, Furterer, Revlon, Silky Girl, SG Men, Yadah, Stage (Arty). You can definitely get great bargains on cosmetics, fragrance, toiletries, hair colour, skin care and body care.
The Warehouse Clearance sale is held for 3 days: 4-5 Sept 2014 (Thursday and Friday) 11am to 6 pm and 6 Sept 2014 (Saturday) 10 am to 5 pm.
I am excited to share my haul and I’ve included the prices of the stuff that I bought. I might have gone a little over board (a lot!) with Revlon products as they are nearly on 1/3 of the normal retail price. Aaaarggghh… here we go~
This is a late review on Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation which I won through Revlon Malaysia facebook contest. I posted a picture on Instagram when I first received it and a friend asked for a review.
Why so late? To be honest, I have not even explored the product when I first got it as I was so obsessed with Maybelline Dream matte mousse foundation. (My january favourites post!)
Occasionally I will use my oldie-but-a-goodie Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation (previous review here) for oily/combination skin for a more heavy coverage. Only recently that my ColorStay liquid foundation was finished that I (re)discovered Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation in my makeup stash.
